Wow, that is definitely a lot happening in just one weekend. I agree with what others have said (and your final decision) - don't allow this to continue. Cheating will never make you happy, because you'll be the 'secret' girlfriend that can never be known. Like you said, why support him when you can be the lead? Personally I would say that breaking the news to him in person would be better, but it might also ignite some unwanted consequences too.

Also, all the food looks delicious...I really like that water-sculpture-park area too.

Brunch is kind of a cult in our city. I'm not sure when or why it started, but I'm glad it's there. Big breakfasts are the best start to any day!

He sounds like a great friend, but you really do come across as a pretty strong-minded girl who has more sass (if you'll excuse the pun!) to be tied down with someone who's a bit clingy- loved your last line btw!

Also, I was practically drooling over every single breakfast photo in this post. Where do you get brekky like that?! In Australia, 75% of the places don't even give you a hash brown with a big breakfast, and yet I see glorious varieties of deep-fried potato in almost all our pics!!! *drools*

Very good analysis Courtney, and I agree with you 100%. There is nothing for me to gain from this "relationship" except emotional complication. I am ending this!

I just don't know if I should call him or go see him this weekend (I wouldn't be staying with him of course).

Do people even buy novels anymore? I feel like I am the last person of my generation to still read actual books, and I get all mine from the library :P

Ok, I have a couple thoughts on this. I don't think that being involved in cheating is in anyway ok, even if you're the third party and you're not instigating it. Should you decide to go forward with this, you need to make him break up with his girlfriend. But you know, I don't think you should. I believe you've said before you like the cute moments with HB, but you don't feel like the relationship would go anywhere. Clearly you do not like him as much as he does you, which will only tire you and hurt him, but not only that, I think it's been clear this whole time you still harbor the most feelings for MFL. (Or Y[our]FL?) As things are right now, I don't think HB would help you get over those lingering feelings, so I don't think there's really anything to gain from being with him now, unless you really just want to while away the time. But again, I think the nature of your relationship, and I feel he will break down again, will make that pleasant whiling away less and less possible. He clearly wants things from you that you do not want to give him, down to your words of love. I just can't see this leading anywhere positive for either of you.
Also, I agree with Miku. Write a novel of your adventures, I feel like every girl could relate to it; and you have such a way of writing that it makes those who read feel like close friends.

Also, I advise you to write a novel. It would be a seller.

Oh GOODNESS, does this sound like me and my ex, except we both had a girlfriend/boyfriend already (I realized what I was doing and stopped though, thank God). Cheating is never a slope you should go down on, no matter how you might feel in the moment, because the stress/worry/guilt/crap you will feel afterwards will make this so not worth it. I hope you guys work things out soon!

All asides, PL sounds like a bitch and hypocrite with a stick up her butt. Someone needs to tell her STFU.
