I am such a dog person that I refuse to befriend cat people. So if you’re a cat person, don’t tell me. I will just write you off as crazy and never speak to you again1.

She’s a papillon. They sometimes look like hairy chihuahuas, but they should have longer hair around their ears and tail.

I am TERRIFIED of cat claws. After my roommate’s cat swiped my bed sheet with her claws and left a cut as clean as scissors, I stayed far away from her paws.

haha, I know! I don’t really have much against dogs (although some big dogs I don’t like too much), and a lot of them are terribly cute! Especially yours! I can’t believe you haven’t posted pictures before! Haha and that little flower…
It’s just that, on the whole, I much prefer cats.

You dog is so cute! I always thought cats were so awful but I couldn’t deprive my bf of them for the rest of his life, and our apartment won’t let us have dogs, so we got two kittens and because they are mine – I love them. If you told me I’d love two cats a few months ago, I’d have said you were crazy.
I can’t wait for the day that I can have a dog in my life again.

I guess maybe I’d feel different if I raised them from kittens myself.
But I’d probably have my cats declawed and detoothed because they are so sharp (cat play-bites hurt far more than when my dog play-bites me).
I also realize that the likelihood of my significant other liking cats is quite high considering opposites attract and MFL once told me he liked cats.

I always thought cats were too smart to be pets. They’re more like…ok, I’ll LET you feed me because I want to.
Dogs are dumb enough to love us with all our faults, haha.

I agree! I think cats are too independent to be as lovable as dogs. Whereas dogs LOVE to be attached to somebody, that’s what makes them perfect companions!
